Walking Tours are back and more colourful than ever!
A summer in Victoria wouldn’t be complete without the ever-popular Victoria BID Walking Tours. We will once again be celebrating Victoria’s open spaces as we see the return of Open Garden Squares Weekend in June and Open House Weekend in September. See the most famous and iconic attractions in the capital – and hear the weird and wonderful facts and stories behind them.

The horticultural world’s answer to Paris Fashion Week, boasting a magnificent display of vibrant show gardens. The show has become an important event for watching emerging gardening trends and is the world’s most famous flower show.

Victoria's Guinness World Record Attempt: Longest Line of Fanfare Trumpets

The Victoria BID invites you with great excitement to take part in our Guinness World Record attempt in producing The Longest Line of Fanfare Trumpeters on Tuesday 22 May. Come and see the spectacle and sing along to over 100 trumpets playing fanfares that will resonate all the way to Buckingham Palace.

As part of the audience you will be treated to a drinks reception at the Guard’s Museum before witnessing the fanfare, taking in the electric atmosphere and being part of the official Guinness World Record adjudication.
This World Record attempt is proud to be part of World Record London 2012. The capital will see records broken to celebrate London’s attractions and people with the goal to become ‘World Record City’ in 2012.

Victoria's Jubilee Lunch

Thursday 24 May - Lower Grosvenor Gardens (Near to Victoria train station opposite the Grosvenor hotel)
Lunch served at 1pm.

The Victoria BID invites you to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a sumptuous lunch set in the delightful, Lower Grosvenor Gardens.

Join us and enjoy an a’ la carte set menu, a warm welcome from your waiter, and all the ingredients for an alfresco fine dining experience. Lunch is served at 1pm sharp.

Alternatively, if you prefer to lounge in a deckchair you can pick up a delicious ‘Royal Hog roast Sandwich’ which will be available throughout the day on a first come first served basis. You do not have to book for this!

Tickets are FREE with a voluntary minimum contribution of £4.00 on entry. All proceeds will go to local charity Veteran’s Aid. They have been doing fantastic work in Victoria since 1932, supporting ex-service men and women.

Open Garden Squares Weekend in London

Peek behind locked doors and discover the surprising number of green spaces that London has to offer This year 212 gardens will be opening their gates for this magical weekend. There are 23 new gardens participating and the gardens and squares are spread across 27 London boroughs. Choose which gardens you wish to visit - from the historic and well-groomed squares to the contemporary community allotments and roof gardens. One ticket gives you access to all 212 gardens over the weekend. This year, for the first time, the weekend is being organised in association with the National Trust.

World Record London 2012

Guinness Word Records will award London with a number of amazing records including the world’s largest urban museum and the longest line of fanfare trumpeters. This record is an attempt made by the Victoria BID, details are still being firmed up but you can register your interest in participating now. Only if you can play the trumpet that is!

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee 2012 is just around the corner; get yourself ready to join in the celebrations.

There are special events taking place across London, including a Diamonds exhibition at Buckingham Palace a Diamond Jubilee Pageant on the river Thames and the Big Jubilee Lunch. Events range in price and are taking place at various locations in London.

The Big Jubilee Lunch is a fantastic way to join in and is an annual nationwide event which encourages people to have lunch with their neighbors. Victoria has its very own Jubilee Lunch on the 24 May. Join the Victoria BID and book your FREE ticket here.

London 2012 Festival
The London 2012 Festival is a huge cultural celebration coinciding with the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London.

You can enjoy everything from free concerts and art exhibitions to Shakespeare plays and dance performances.

Hyde Park - Olympic Coverage

Take in massive screens, including the UK's largest, showing unparalleled coverage of every Olympic medal event plus two spectacular celebration concerts with artists still to be announced. The Victoria BID are still hoping Beyonce will make it!

SW1 Gallery
SW1 Gallery is a stunning contemporary exhibition space in central London. Founded and managed by real estate developer Land Securities, it is the perfect place to take time out and appreciate great art. 

SW1 Gallery presents a range of exhibitions and has an on going commitment to playing an active part in the local community. The gallery dedicates part of its yearly programme to collaborations with community organisations in Westminster.
